López Obrador acknowledged that although the country is in a favorable situation in the face of the reduction of the pandemic, a large part of the population has not yet applied the biological reinforcement, so it is necessary “to continue convincing them, (…) We should not trust each other,” he said.

“So today we are going to take the last step in what corresponds to mass vaccination to be calm, protect people,” explained the president in his morning press conference today.

The governors began to arrive at the National Palace minutes after 11:00 a.m., as the meeting was scheduled to start at noon. Rubén Rocha, state president of Sinaloa, reaffirmed that one of the objectives is to conclude the vaccination campaign.

The members of the federal health cabinet also attended the meeting, as well as the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard.
