Amersfoort Zoo close to escaped animal: ‘Possible danger to visitors’ | Inland

It is unclear which animal it is. According to an eyewitness it would be one or more chimpanzee (s). It is also not yet clear whether there are still visitors trapped in the park and whether the animal or animals has / have been enclosed.

People respond to the Facebook post: “You have arranged this neatly. We are all safely inside. The 1.5 meters are taken into account. Hopefully the animals will be found quickly and they can safely return to their enclosure. ” Someone else says: “We were at the restaurant. And had to go into the restaurant. 4 chimpanzees have escaped. ”

The zoo indicates that it will come up with an update later. “Right now, all focus is on the escape.” No spokesperson is yet available.
