The largest study of a vaccine against Covid-19 worldwide has entered a new phase today: 30,000 volunteers will test the drug. According to American virologist Anthony Fauci, this vaccine may be ready as early as October – “but perhaps earlier November”.

The American health institute is working with the company Moderna on a vaccine against the corona virus. It is one of the largest vaccine studies currently underway, alongside that of Oxford, some Chinese tracks, and research by Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer. The American vaccine has now entered a new phase: that of testing on humans. The intention is that volunteers – who do not know whether they have been given the vaccine or a placebo – will tell what they feel. It is also being investigated whether they will still contract the virus in areas where the virus is raging. “Unfortunately, there are plenty of places in the US where we can test this,” said Fauci.
According to Dr Fauci, the vaccine could be ready in October – “or earlier in November”. “But it might as well be that this drug does not work or does not work sufficiently. We are cautiously positive. ”
