Fenster is the editor of online newspapers Frontier Myanmar, which, among other things, has covered the military junta’s conduct after the coup in February.
Since being arrested at Yangon Airport in May, he has been in the infamous Insein Prison in Yangon.
He was then on his way to the United States to visit his family.
