American Football:Kicker Eberle fired by the Detroit Lions in the NFL

Detroit (AP) – German footballer Dominik Eberle has been sacked by the Detroit Lions and is looking for a job in the NFL again.
The team announced their split on Tuesday, two days after their ill-fated debut in the Lions’ 45-48 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Eberle had converted a field goal on 49 yards, but had also awarded two extra points. The Lions, where German-American Amon-Ra St. Brown also plays, hired the 26-year-old for their training team just under a month ago. Due to an injury to regular kicker Austin Seibert, he was used on Sunday but he failed to convince the coaches.
Prior to his Detroit engagement, Eberle was already under contract with the Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders, Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans. He also played an NFL game for the Texans.
