As a result of the tight calendar this year in which the World Cup Qatar 2022the Leagues Cupthe annual tournament between teams of the Liga MX y MLSis not being celebrated.
But there will still be action between clubs from neighboring leagues with a series of exhibition matches within the Leagues Cup Showcase which serves as a preview of what will happen next year, when the tournament not only get bigger but also become official.
It all starts this Wednesday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The home of the NFL Rams, the reigning Super Bowl champions, and future World Cup stadium will host the clash of America vs. LAFC.
Guillermo Memo Ochoa and the Eagles they will collide against the club gold and black and his trident of international stars: Carlos Vela, Giorgio Chiellini y Gareth Bale.
This will be the second duel in history between the two clubs. LAFC defeated América 3-1 in the semifinals of the 2020 Concachampions. Vela embittered his compatriots by scoring a brace inside 72 seconds.
