D.From 22 to 25 September the new edition of Festival America will take place in Vincennes, a literary event dedicated to authors from North America (United States, Canada, Quebec, but also Mexico, Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica, etc.). The book fair to be held during the festival will bring together about thirty French and foreign publishing houses. Also this year the festival will offer numerous appointments, meetings, debates, readings, concerts, exhibitions, masterclasses, etc.
Thus, on the occasion of this 2022 edition, the America Festival will receive many of the most confirmed or promising authors for meetings, debates, signatures: Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, Rumaan Alam, Kathleen Alcott, Mateo Askaripour, Billy- Ray Belcourt, Angeline Boulley, Michael Christie, Emma Cline, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Antonia Crane, Jean D’Amérique, Nicole Dennis-Benn, Antoine Desjardins, Natalie Diaz, Norma Dunning, Jennifer Egan, Gabrielle Filteau-Chiba, Richard Ford, Jonathan Franzen, Marcial Gala, Ryan Gattis, Eddy L. Other authors are also invited, writers from Europe or even members of what are called “first peoples”, but also directors, activists: Tara Houska, Lyla June Johnston, Yanuwana Christophe Pierre, Pekka Hämäläinen, Gilles Havard, Ángeles Cruz … The authors will be present during the festival for dedications, readings but also meetings on various themes or special events. There are also exhibitions (photography, painting, etc.) or events “outside the walls” (meetings in the bookshop, at the Sorbonne Nouvelle Library, etc.).
