The only reason I started talking about the 5700xt is because the person above me started talking about ‘the previous generation’. As I said, this one was positioned mid-range. And so in a different price range than (for example) the 3080 now.

The only thing I say is that AMD can launch fine cards in a lower price segment and we don’t know yet where this card will be positioned. The comparison with 2080/3080 is indeed total nonsense and I did not make it.

It is a pity that many do not take a brand seriously if they do not compete in the top, despite the fact that they regularly have a better deal in lower price segments. Not always, but it wasn’t a bad deal either.

“Walking behind” is a very strange concept in that context. Falling behind in what? If the choice is made not to play in the expensive niche, but to be mass-produced, then you are not behind. These are business choices that AMD’s GPU department is forced to make.
Introducing VESA adaptive sync 3 years late, or now with a lot of fanfare to copy Radeon Anti Lag … That is actually lagging behind.

Ultimately, we just have to wait and see what the price of this card will be. These figures for the price of a 3070? Then Nvidia has a problem. Will this be more expensive than a 3080? Then AMD has a problem.
