Amazon Studios Announces Guest Stars for Final Season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”

Before the imminent premiere of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5, Amazon Studios has announced the official guest star list for the acclaimed comedy’s final season.

Emmy winners Hank Azaria (Amis) et Darren Criss (Joie) signed for guest-star appearances with Sutton Foster (Younger), Danny Strong (Dope) et Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3). This marks the latter two actors’ final collaboration with creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino after working together on the iconic Filles Gilmore series.

The series is set to return on April 14 with the first three episodes, exclusively on Prime Video. New episodes air weekly until its finale on May 26.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel stars Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam “Midge” Maisel, Tony Shalhoub as Midge Abe Weissman’s father, Alex Borstein as Susie Myerson, Michael Zegen as Midge Joel Maisel’s husband, and Marin Hinkle as Midge Rose Weissman’s mother. The final season will also feature Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, Reid Scott, Alfie Fuller, and Jason Ralph.

“After burning bridges and being cut from touring, Midge Maisel persisted through season four, rebuilding her career and reputation,” reads the synopsis. “The final moments of the season culminated with Midge leaving Carnegie Hall invigorated and ready to face any blizzard. After an epiphany ahead Le spectacle Gordon Fordfrom the snow-covered billboard, Midge is ready to “go ahead” and fight for her rise to stardom – equipped with her quick wit and sharp tongue, and nothing else to lose. In the fifth and final season, Midge finds herself closer than ever to the success she dreamed of, only to find that closer than ever is still so far away.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is written and directed by acclaimed creator Amy Sherman-Palladino (Filles Gilmore) and executive producer Daniel Palladino (family guy). The series has already won 20 Emmy Awards and three Golden Globes including Outstanding Comedy Series.

The first four seasons are already available to stream on Prime Video.
