Amazon is strong on installment payments: after testing the function on a small number of users starting from January, the ecommerce giant has partnered with Cofidis in order to insert the option on the platform Creditline. It is a credit from 100 to 1,500 euros issued by the French company and designed to allow buyers to finalize purchases without paying the full amount in a single solution. A great convenience, reserved for adults and with Italian citizenship.

Plans and products
Seven credit plans offered by CreditLine: 3, 5, 6, 10, 12, 18 or 24 rates (from 15 euros minimum each). But only for certain types of products. As specified in a note released by Amazon itself, in fact, among the products that customers can buy with CreditLine are included most items sold and shipped by Amazon.it such as, for example, consumer electronics, household appliances, furniture and DIY products. It is also possible to purchase items sold by sales partners such as, for example, the excellence of the artisans of the made in Italy shop or products sold directly by small and medium-sized Italian and foreign companies. However, they are not included orders that contain Amazon.it gift vouchers, digital products (music, videos, Kindle books, game or application downloads), presale products, out of stock products or subscriptions (including Amazon Prime), food products.

How to activate the credit line
Take advantage of the new feature very simple: selected a valid product, you only need to select CreditLine as the payment method, complete your application on the Cofidis website and then wait for the final approval of the credit line (defined immediately). Only necessary documents: driving license or passport, health card and Iban. However, in the event that the indicated resources are not considered sufficient to complete the purchase, it goes without saying that the credit line will not be disbursed. As for the interests expected, Cofidis gives the example of 1,000 and 200 euros to be divided into 12 and 6 installments respectively, in both cases with a Taeg (Annual Global Effective Rate) of 12.84%. Being for one Private Revolving Credit Line in reality it is difficult to provide precise rates, varying these on the basis of the amount of capital employed. But there is good news: for loans signed by Sunday 5 July the Taeg will be 0% for 24 months.

The return
Another interesting aspect is the possibility of continuing to take advantage of the classic return policies. In this sense, they explain the conditions of the service, if you are returning part of an order, the amount of the next installments will be recalculated on the amount of items you have decided to keep. If you are returning an entire order, CreditLine will remain active but you will not have to pay any installments any installments already paid will be refunded by Cofidis usually within 7 working days from processing the return.
