Despite the fact that she is only 24 years old, influencer Amalie Olsen has been in the industry longer than many others. She first became known on YouTube, but has since gained hundreds of thousands of followers on her social media channels.

She has also been associated with celebrity manager David Eriksen’s (56) management, Eccentric People. Now, however, she can reveal that she is ready to stand on her own two feet and has broken off the partnership.
– It’s actually absolutely fantastic. It’s like you’ve got wings with new feathers, in a way. It was a weird metaphor, but I feel like getting up every day is a joy. I’m looking forward to the continuation, she says when Dagbladet meets her during the “Bloggers” launch this week.

Instead of Eccentric People, she has now hired her good friend Milda.
– We do this together. Instead of me sitting and talking to management on the phone and popping in once in a while here and there, she says.

According to Olsen, she felt ready to stand on her own two feet, but at the same time admits that it felt “very scary”.
– I don’t think I’ve ever stood on my own two feet like this, without someone at your back who can take you in if things go to hell. I did it at the start, but then it was completely different numbers. It is something different now, she points out.

Not bad blood
When asked how things are with David Eriksen and the management after she resigned, she replies:
– The atmosphere with David and the entire Eccentric gang is very nice. I have met them at events and a festival this summer, and the atmosphere is just as good, which I am very happy about.
That’s why she keeps her boyfriend hidden
David Eriksen also tells Dagbladet that there is no drama connected to the 24-year-old’s exit.
– Amalie is a wonderful girl who we were so proud to have and from whom we have learned a lot. She comes from a world we didn’t know very well. But then it happens that things change, and some people want to try on their own without major management. We think it’s super exciting, and we’re cheering, he says, adding that “there are zero problems”.
Olsen goes on to say that she was inspired to make the choice after talking to others in the industry.
– There are several people who have done the same, and then I thought “ok, now I have to take action instead of sitting and dreaming away all the time”. I am very proud, it has gone well, she says.

Prepared for disagreements
According to the 24-year-old, working with her friend has not presented any problems so far.

– Working with Milda is actually absolutely fantastic. We have good communication and have found a working environment that suits us. We are still a bit in the starting phase, but Milda is incredibly good at her job and very creative, she says, and continues:
– Perfect match, that is. Disagreements will probably arise, and we are prepared for that. But then it is extra important to be honest with each other and have good communication.
