Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is shining. Morata revealed that he felt the happiest in his career.
The 31 year old footballer successfully scored 12 goals plus three assists in 15 appearances throughout 2023/24. This score made Morata the top scorer Atleticosharing a place with Antoine Griezmann.
However, more importantly Morata’s slick performance helped The Red and Whites continue to compete for the LaLiga title. Currently Atletico is in fourth place in the standings with a difference of six points from Girona at the top, four points from Real Madrid, and only two points from defending champions Barcelona with one game in hand.
Atletico Madrid also still has a chance to qualify for the knockout phase of the Champions League. Morata et al top the Group E standings with eight points, with two matches remaining in the group phase.
it Alvaro Morata is answering doubts after a mediocre career with Real Madrid, Juventus and Chelsea. Morata was even linked with a move to Saudi Arabia last summer, before finally deciding to stay.
“Without a doubt, this is the happiest time of my career, and hopefully ends up being a great season,” he told Night Radio Stadium. “This is the best and most important thing I have ever experienced both at Atletico and in the Spanish national team.”
