In ‘Alter Ego’ we follow Gilles (Ward Kerremans) who is confronted with the sudden death of his girlfriend Romy during his youth. Years later, he is still struggling with that tragic loss until a mysterious figure shows up, making Gilles question everything again. He desperately searches for answers about what happened then. His search leads him to Salvator, a company that appears to be much more than a private bank. Together with his father Lucas (Wouter Hendrickx) he discovers the hidden and dark world of the Saviors, clones of Death. They walk unnoticed among the population to accomplish their task: touching those whose ‘last hour’ has come. But when one clone (Taeke Nicolaï) goes out and looks Gilles straight in the eyes, she loses her form. She is also forced to look for an explanation and mysteriously turns out to have a lot in common with Gilles…
Ward Kerremans (‘Billie vs Benjamin’) and Taeke Nicolaï (‘The Chapel’) play the leading roles in this series. Other roles are for Wouter Hendrickx (‘Storm Lara’), Karlijn Sileghem (‘Holly’), Viv Van Dingenen (‘De Twaalf’), Günther Lesage (‘Onderhuids’), Zineb Fallouk (‘Mocro Mafia’), Michael Pas (‘Assizes’) and Koen De Bouw (‘Two Summers’).
