Also on top against second Hessenliga regional rivals?

Ambitious SV Rot-Weiß Walldorf hopes for a home win against Viktoria Griesheim despite personal problems. VfB Ginsheim does not want to go back empty-handed in Eddersheim.

WALLDORF / GINSHEIM – SV Rot-Weiß Walldorf signed nine newcomers for this season. Three of them have already left the soccer team in Hessen. After Benjamin Braus, who – as reported – switched to the regional top division club Sparta Bürgel, Christopher Felter (to the A division club SV Hummetroth) and Adnan Alik (to the Hessen division FV Bad Vilbel) are history again.

After the 2-1 derby win at VfB Ginsheim, SV Rot-Weiß faces the next game against a rival from the region this Friday (7.30 p.m.): The team around coach Max Martin is expecting SC Viktoria Griesheim. She has to do without the injured captain Christian Matheisen again. The use of the ailing Zaki Ech-Chad is questionable.

In the week before the Ginsheim game, with good participation in training, the work was “very concentrated”. But in the preparation time before that, sometimes only ten players appeared. Since the level of performance deviates accordingly, it is almost impossible for the coach to get the team in shape physically and playfully. The necessary automatisms are still lacking in the interaction. Fixing this is a process that takes weeks: “But unfortunately we don’t have time,” says Martin, referring to the goals of SV Rot-Weiß. In the group stage of the two-part Hessenliga, the team should be at least fifth in order to qualify for the promotion round. The red-whites have 20 games to score. “You have to get going before winter”, says Martin. With the opening win “we gave ourselves a bit of air. But against Griesheim it has to go on in the same way. ”SCV trainer Richard Hasa was present at Walldorf’s opening win, but brings with him the mortgage of a 0-3 false start on his own run.

VfB Ginsheim wants to overcome the high hurdle FC Eddersheim on Sunday (3 p.m.). Coach Matthias Güldener announces a self-confident team: “We’re not going to Eddersheim to leave the points there.” Apart from the yellow-red-suspended Raymond Williams, no VfB player is out. Back in the squad comes Tim strengz. The center forward had only been able to train three times after an injury break (groin discomfort), which is why he first played in the U23 team. In the 6-2 opening win of the Bundesliga club against Germania Großkrotzenburg, strengz scored three goals. The home team around long-time VfB captain Jörg Finger came out of the starting blocks with a 4-3 win at SV Zeilsheim.
