Almost all the people who were on the territory of the plant were evacuated from Azovstal in Mariupol.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview on the occasion of the third anniversary of the inauguration.
“Civilians, doctors, seriously wounded have been taken out. At this moment, people are also being taken out. It seems to me that in the near future, even, not one of these days, but the time will be completed, the removal of all,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

“I negotiated with Turkey, Switzerland, Israel, first with France because of the relations of the leaders with the Russian Federation. Another 211 people were taken to Olenevka through the humanitarian corridor. To return them home, an exchange procedure will be carried out.
On May 18, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, said that the process of evacuating the defenders of Azovstal continues and is complicated.
