JawaPos.com – Huawei on Friday (16/4) evening officially announced the newest member of the Huawei Band Series, namely the Huawei Band 6. As the name suggests, this device is a smart wearable bracelet or smartband which is claimed to bring many advantages like a smartwatch.
Patrick Ru, Country Head of Huawei CBG Indonesia explained that the Huawei Band 6 is categorized as a smartband. However, this device still provides the same best features as those commonly found on smartwatches or smart watches.
“Our latest product is making a stunning debut with improvements in technology and redefining the fitness tracker category,” he explained.

Regarding the specifications itself, the Huawei Band 6 comes using a large 1.47-inch AMOLED screen with side buttons. The screen is actually 148 percent larger than its predecessor with a significantly increased screen-to-body ratio, with a screen resolution of 194 x 368 at 282 ppi.
The 2.5 D curved glass also comes to the visual aspect of this smartband. On the front, the Huawei Band 6 has also been protected with an anti-fingerprint coating that can keep the device clean.
Among the 96 sport modes of Huawei Band 6, there is a Jump Rope Mode feature which not only monitors the number of jumps accurately but also provides training data such as the number of consecutive jumps. The smart monitor sensor of the Huawei Band 6 is capable of displaying the user’s heart rate, heart rate zone, calories burned, exercise duration, and other exercise data.
Huawei Band 6 on the battery side is claimed to be able to last for 14 days, even though it is used to monitor heart rate and sleep time continuously. The Huawei Band 6 supports fast charging that uses a magnetic charger, and claims that a five-minute charge lasts two days of normal use.
The price of the Huawei Band 6 in Indonesia, during the period 16-21 April, is IDR 500,000. It is not yet known how much this device will cost after the promo period has passed.
