Alianza del Lápiz requests that assets of corruption be financially compensated to Venezuelans

After one month of the beginning of the corruption plot that includes Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana (CVG), the Judiciary and important mayoralties of the country, Antonio Ecarri, national president of Lápiz and presidential candidate of this organization went this Monday morning to the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic to formally demand that the amounts embezzled from the Republic be revealed and the liquidation of the seized assets.

“This policy began a month ago, supposedly anti-corruption, but Venezuelans still don’t know where they have the money, who has the money and what the money is going to be used for.

“(…) the only thing that can be done is to liquidate those assets and that the damages be immediately compensated for the affected victims, who are the Venezuelan people,” he declared forcefully outside the headquarters of the Public Ministry in Parque Carabobo.

In this sense, he stated that it should be known as soon as possible what will be the fate of the Mercedes towers, where – according to what he said – corruption is sown. They cannot be for civil servants and bureaucrats, they must be liquidated.

When asked, by the media, about the Asset Forfeiture Law, today under discussion in the National Assembly, Ecarri responded to Diosdado Cabello, deputy and first vice president of the PSUV: “Insult all you want, but read your own law, the funds are not for you, they have to be for teachers, health and pensioners.”
