Algeria’s New Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York: Amar Bendjama

Algeria has appointed its new permanent representative to the United Nations in New York. The lucky winner is Amar Bendjama, indicates the Official Journal in Algeria. The post had been vacant since the departure on March 16 of Ambassador Mohamed Nadir Arbaoui, then promoted to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s chief of staff. Bendjama is, like Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, a ghost. Since his departure in 2016 at the head of the Algerian embassy in France, he has remained without diplomatic activity.
