The 19e edition of the Mediterranean Games in Oran was officially launched on Saturday evening with a high quality show.
The opening ceremony was grandiose, as promised by Salim Dada, president of the Commission for the opening and closing ceremonies of the JM d’Oran 2022.

In a brand new and overcrowded stadium, spectators were treated to more than two hours of entertainment including choreography, music, fireworks and light displays. In the stadium, the public played its part in making the atmosphere still crazy. When the France team entered the field, a ” one two three, viva l’Algeria resounded inside the new Olympic stadium in Oran.

More than 500 dancers, folklore troupes from western Algeria, artists animated the opening ceremony of these Games, in the presence of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the Emir of Qatar, guest of honor of the Algeria. Other senior officials from Mediterranean countries such as the Vice President of Turkey were present in the stadium during this ceremony.
The artistic presentation revolved around 20 paintings with the participation of 800 people, including artists, dancers, image and lighting technicians.
The ceremony was broadcast by many television channels such as TRT, beIN Sports, ENTV.
Around 11:00 p.m., President Tebboune, in a short speech, kicked off the Mediterranean Games in Oran.

Organized from June 25 to July 5 in Oran, the JM d’Oran 2022 recorded the participation of 3,390 athletes from 26 countries. The party should continue in Oran and other cities in the west of the country during these games, including the screening of films in public spaces.
