Algeria has decided to close the airspace to Moroccan flights, both military and civil, and also to aircraft registered in Morocco. The Algerian president, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, announced this today in a statement after the conclusion of a meeting of the country’s High Security Council. The decision to close the airspace was taken “due to the continuous provocations and hostile practices by Morocco”, the statement read.
