Just a couple of weeks ago, on March 9 and 10, Alexander Domogarov played in the play “Scenes from Marital Life” by Andrei Konchalovsky. Both productions were held at the Moscow Art Theater. Gorky with a full house. And on the eve of the closure of cultural institutions, management also raised ticket prices – the front ranks reached six thousand rubles. Two weeks later, the actor, unexpectedly for everyone, including his fans, made a statement that he was forced to stop any cooperation with this theater. He did not specify the reasons, but added that the Moscow Art Theater leadership should have apologized to him.
Khudruk Eduard Boyakov refused to comment on the “StarHit” conflict, and the press service was even told that he was not aware of Domogarov’s decision – he didn’t notify them, and the performances scheduled for April were not canceled. Also specifying that all the actors they regularly receive money for the productions played. But, as it turned out, this is not entirely true. Alexander Yuryevich was not only not paid a fee for the March “Scenes from Matrimonial Life”, but also reacted boorishly to his position regarding the arbitrariness taking place.

“Before each performance, we signed an agreement with the theater. Gorky, – commented “StarHit” Domogarov. – It always happened in advance. Immediately they gave him to me half an hour before going on stage, when it was completely not up to it. I have not seen money for the work done to this day. But from the director of the Moscow Art Theater received a mocking letter stating that “not only financial obligations” bind me to the public, so I have to play in any situation. I no longer need this money, I give it to the theater. And I am breaking all ties with him. ”
The next performance with the participation of the actor is planned at the Moscow Art Theater on April 11.

It is worth noting that the actor’s conflict with the top management of the cultural institution, all other colleagues are sympathetic to the situation and support the decision of Alexander Yuryevich. There are those who serve at the Moscow Art Theater, admitting that “they are ashamed of the theater” and the cheeky behavior of its employees.
But after all, fans of the artist have already bought tickets for the following performances, which, according to the poster, should be held in mid-April. And, it seems, they will be canceled, as in the case of the contract, at the last moment. Perhaps the production will move to the Domogarov’s native Theater. Moscow City Council, where Alexander Yuryevich has been serving for more than 25 years. According to the People’s Artist, this decision will be made by the director of the Scene Andrei Konchalovsky.
