“Alex Web-App: Centralizing Information on Illness in the Workplace for Employees and Employers”

Answering questions from employees and employers on issues related to illness in the world of work: this is the objective of the Alex web-app, launched at the end of 2022. The goal: “centralize information” explains its founder, guest of France Bleu Paris.

Enable employees and their employers to adapt to serious or chronic illnesses in their professional world : this is the objective of the Alex web-app, launched at the end of 2022 by the WeCare@Work business club. “It is a subject that remains eminently taboo”says its founder, Anne-Sophie Tuszynski, guest of France Bleu Paris.

“There was no digital solution to support sick employees. It centralizes information for sick people, managers, caregivers, says its founder. The web app asks questions that allows everyone to find their way to better reconcile illness and work”, both on the legal side but also in order to obtain advice. A dozen companies have already subscribed to this web-app born in Antony (Hauts-de-Seine), the Social Security having itself adopted it for its employees.

50% of employees dare not talk about the disease

“For chronic diseases, certain cancers, endometriosis, we will support throughout the career pathto enable compliance with legal information but also to better understand each other, communicate, work together”, adds the founder of Alex. A major issue, concludes Anne-Sophie Tuszynski, while according to surveys conducted by WeCare@Work, one in two employees dare not talk about their illness.

A telephone line and a blog
are also accessible free of charge for all, sick employees or employers who have questions about an employee’s illness. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, those affected can call 0800 400 310.
