Alert! New Coronavirus Mutations 10 Times More Malignant Appear in 4 ASEAN Countries

TRIBUNMANADO.CO.ID – In the midst of its increasing spread, a more virulent corona virus has reportedly emerged in 4 ASEAN countries.

It is known, until now the corona virus or Covid-19 continues to spread to parts of the world.

Even the virus that attacks the respiratory tract is still a frightening specter for the world community.

Reportedly, there are four countries in Southeast Asia reporting mutations of the new corona virus that are more contagious than what first appeared in the city of Wuhan, China.

The four countries, namely, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and most recently Myanmar.

His name is the mutated and highly contagious corona virus: D614G. Also called a “G” mutation. D614G is a variation of the original strain of the coronavirus that was first detected in Wuhan in December last year.

“Because this variant has been circulating globally, it can exist in any country,” said Dr Sebastian Maurer-Stroh, Deputy Executive Research Director of the Singapore Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A * STAR).

“And, every country with active surveillance has detected it, especially with regard to imported cases from travelers,” he told Channel News Asia.
