Alert! Gorillaz and Bad Bunny are cooking music together

Just as you read it! Damon Alban himself revealed that he was working with Bad Bunny on a song that will be part of the new Gorillaz album.

If something has made us clear Bad Bunny, is that for him there is no musical genre that defines him. Puerto Rican has within its repertoire rock, pop, reggaeton, disco and well, actually all kinds of rhythms because “it does whatever it wants.”

And as usual, with each new track or album, Bad Bunny shows us that he doesn’t like to follow the rules. He live off making unexpected hits.

The Vive Latino festival confirms its return for 2022

This will be the collaboration of Bad Bunny with Gorillaz

In an interview he had Damon Albarn with Warp, he confessed that the new material from Gorillaz is inspired by Latin American rhythms and that he spent time in Jamaica with Bad Bunny making music.

What I love about Gorillaz is that I can bring whoever I want, you know? I was in Jamaica recently and recorded a Gorillaz song with Bad Bunny, that’s an exciting thing for next yearDamon stated about this new collaboration.

He also commented that the track that armed with Bad Bunny is the First single of this new project. There is still no release date for this new Gorillaz album, nor more information about other contributors to the material. According to Damon, the project is barely taking shape and it is hasty to give more details.

AND what does it sound like this new collaboration? In the words of the British musician… “yes it is more or less a reggaeton song”.

On the other hand, if the track was made in Jamaica, you probably also have certain island sounds that saw the birth of reggae. Hopefully we don’t have to wait forever for this track to see the light of day. It never hurts a new hit from Bad Bunny and less if it is a collaboration with one of the most emblematic bands of pop music in the early 2000s.
