Aprilia rider Aleix Espargarò very disappointed not to have finished third MotoGP 2022. After the disappointing results of the last series in Valencia.
Espargaro started from the tenth grid in the Ricardo Tormo race on Sunday (11/06/2022). The Spaniard approaches the race nine points ahead of Gresini Enea Bastianini running for third place.
Too bad, Espargaro didn’t have the chance to fight with Bastianini until the end. The 33-year-old rider “gives up” due to bike problems and then returns to the pits when the race hasn’t even completed four laps.
In the Bastianini trial he finished eighth to Valencia MotoGP 2022. With this result Espargaro was forced to give up third place to Bastianini with a gap of only seven points on the field classification end.
Espargaro could not contain his disappointment. The former Suzuki rider was devastated because his dream of finishing in the top three had to be shattered.
“I am very sad, this season’s World Cup finals are difficult,” said Espargaro Racing bike. “On Saturday I couldn’t even sleep. My dream is to finish in the top three in the world championship”.
“Even if I have a good pace it doesn’t always happen because Enea is not very tough. We should have been able to fight her. I’m very sorry, we had an engine problem that forced us to never finish.”
“I’ve done everything possible this season. I’m proud of what I’ve done. It’s hard not to go wrong but I succeeded. I feel reluctant to take the test, I want to do it fly and go on vacation ..” he muttered Aleix Espargarò.
