Limoges Handball announced this Monday morning the arrival of Alberto Entrerrios on his sidelines next summer, thus formalizing information revealed the week behind by RMC and West France. The Spaniard (44), double world champion as a player with La Roja who took over from Thierry Anti in Nantes in 2019, is committed to the Limougeaud club, currently 11th in the Championship, for the three next seasons.

“The club is working for the future and wants to build a workforce that will continue to progress, pass a new level, he explained in a press release. Looking for a European place is one of the medium-term objectives. The competition is tough, but the club has this desire to put all the necessary ingredients to make it happen. Last year Entrerrios led Nantes to the semi-finals of the Champions League. In a message posted on his Twitter account, he discusses the reasons for his departure. “My vision of how a team should be managed is noticeably different from that of the club management and that is why I consider it better to separate our paths”, he writes.
