Remedy Entertainment unveiled the first gameplay from the second expansion for Control. Alan Wake appears in the first 15 minutes of the DLC. The creators also confirm that the two games share the same universe, and Jesse Faden knows a “famous writer”.

Remedy Entertainment has just presented the first clip from Control AWE, the second, story expansion for the latest game from the studio. The creators present the very beginning, but apparently the best is yet to come. However, the situation is interesting as the developers have confirmed that Control and Alan Wake share a universe and Jesse Faden knows the writer – Alan reportedly went missing a few years ago, and now it turns out he’s linked to the Bureau.
In the presented fragment, the protagonist Control breaks through locations and has visions related to Alan. The developers confirmed that it was with great pleasure that they returned to the character of the writer and willingly developed a new story with him. On the material you will also see new weapons and even mechanics related to light – the authors want to use their IP and our love for Alan Wake in an interesting way.
Although today Remedy Entertainment will collect some positive opinions for the prepared extension, there are still negative comments on the Web about a strange practice related to updating Control to the next generation.
