“Al Muammar Resigns as Al Nassr Club President Over Ronaldo’s Performance”

Club Board of Directors Al Nasser Musalli Al Muammar is said to have submitted his resignation from the presidency of the team from Saudi Arabia.

Al Nassr’s performance, which suddenly dropped in the last three matches, is predicted to be the root cause of Al Muammar’s resignation letter.

Reported from Saudigazettethere was great pressure from the fans after Al Nassr lost to Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League follow-up match and a negative result in the King’s Cup semifinal against Al Wehda.

Al Muammar was also reportedly annoyed with Ronaldo’s performance and openly expressed his dismay about the Portugal captain.

“I have only been lied to twice in my life. The first was when I asked for three kebabs and then only got two. The second was to bring in Cristiano Ronaldo,” Al Muammar said via the Arabia News 50 media network as quoted from Sports world.

Al Muammar’s resignation is predicted to have been accepted by the board of directors. Al Muammar previously headed the Saudi Pro League before taking over as chairman of club Al Nassr in April 2021.

The news from Al Muammar added to the complicated situation of the club nicknamed Al Aalamy, which previously sacked coach Rudi Garcia.

Al Nassr is currently ranked second in the Saudi Pro League with three points away from standings leader Al Ittihad. Al Nassr was threatened to be shifted to third place.

The league title is the only chance for Al Nassr to lift the trophy after being eliminated in the local Saudi Arabia tournament.

Ronaldo will return to defend Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League continued on Saturday (29/4) against Al Raed.

Ronaldo has scored 11 goals in 14 appearances in various competitions. The last time the former Juventus man scored was in Al Nassr’s 5-0 win over Al Ada in early April.
