Al Bano, Putin and the Ukrainian family | Gramellini’s Coffee

I was reeling under the blows of the most complex intellectuals and I was already beginning to wonder if Putin was not really a docile hibernating teddy bear, to which the poacher Zelensky had tickled under the paws when I, too, like Checco Zalone in Quo vado ?, I was struck by the vision of To the bathroom.

You will surely know the story of this fellow countryman of Professor Canfora who, for having sung Felicit in front of Putin, ended up on the blacklist of Kiev (but can you?). Yet, after the Russian invasion – he, it is clear, to call it that -, Al Bano distanced himself from the illustrious fan and he even welcomed a Ukrainian family into his homein that of Cellino San Marco.

I am grateful to him, also because to this day he remains the only Italian frequenter and admirer of Putin to have had the decency to dissociate himself from him in public. Regarding the war, it hurts to tell our intellectuals, Al Bano does not have a complex enough opinion. He claims that all Great Powers, including the United States, tend to be somewhat arrogant by nature, and so far Povia and Crozza would agree with him as well. But he adds that there are things that are just not done, such as attacking a country or a family, because if you do them, then you also have to deal with history.

Are you putting it too simple? Blame Al Bano, not me, which, to use the words of Putin teddy bearI’m just a gnat accidentally entered my mouth by comparison.
