Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV have responded unanimously to the cabinet’s decision to ban professional football matches until 1 September due to the corona crisis.
The three top clubs regret the decision, but recognize that it is an inevitable measure.
“PSV unanimously understands the importance of national health,” said Toon Gerbrands, PSV’s general manager, on the club’s website.
Reigning national champion and league-leader Ajax agrees: “Although Ajax regrets this, the notion that this decision was inevitable predominates, in the interest of national health,” writes the Amsterdam club on the website.
