The General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, responded to the politician’s moment Maruarar Sirait accompanying presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto at the Communion of Churches in Indonesia (PGI) event today. He said anyone could accompany Prabowo.
“I didn’t answer one or two people. Many people usually accompany Pak Prabowo,” Airlangga told reporters in Bandung, West Java, Friday (19/1/2024).
Airlangga himself has not given any indication that he plans to invite him Maruarar Sirait to join the Golkar Party. He chose to strengthen his existing internal party team.
“Our Golkar already has a team that has been fighting from the first round to the last round. So if we (invite to join), we will strengthen the existing team,” he said.
As known, Maruarar Sirait or Ara expressed her support for Prabowo-Gibran in the 2024 presidential election. This was conveyed by Ara after accompanying Prabowo in a dialogue at the PGI office.
“I have prayed, I have consulted with my family, and I have received wisdom from God. I support Mr Prabowo and Mas Gibran,” said Ara at the PGI office, Salemba, Central Jakarta, today.
Ara believes that Prabowo-Gibran is a figure who can continue the leadership of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Ara said Prabowo had conveyed his determination to lead Indonesia.
“Because I believe that the people who can continue Pak Jokowi’s good things are Prabowo-Gibran and always bring harmony,” he said.
Ara has not answered whether he is part of the Prabowo-Gibran TKN structure. Ara said his first activity would be on January 21 2024 in Majalengka, West Java (West Java).
“I’m just going with Pak Prabowo, I’m following Pak Prabowo. What is certain is that this is my first official activity, this will be Sunday the 21st in Majalengka,” he said.
