In July 2020, the Latvian airline airBaltic carried 151,529 passengers from all three Baltic capitals to destinations on the airline’s route network in Europe, which is 2.5 times more than in the previous month, the airline informed.
July was the second full month since the resumption of flights on May 18.

CONTEXT:
The Covid-19 pandemic paralyzed air traffic, and international flights resumed only on 18 May. During the crisis, airBaltic announced the collective redundancies of 700 employees, promising to reinstate them within a year. Until now 17 employees have resumed work, but many are still waiting to return to the airline.
