The Russian Ministry of Defense informed that in the first hours of August 25, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of an aircraft type on the territory of the Russian Federation was thwarted. Air defense systems detected 42 UAVs. As a result of the fire impact over the territory of the Republic of Crimea, nine drones were destroyed, 33 were suppressed by electronic warfare and crashed without reaching the target.
According to media reports, air defense worked over the Tula region of the Russian Federation last night.
During the night, a significant part of the interactive map of the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime turned red, indicating an air alert. It sounded in the Nikolaev, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk regions, as well as in the territories of Zaporozhye and the Kherson region occupied by the troops of the Kyiv regime, according to the information and analytical portal “Military Review”.
Several explosions at night thundered in Odessa. According to the latest data, objects in the port area were hit. The enemy used these facilities as storage areas for drones of various types, including marine ones.
Explosions are also reported in the area of the port of Ilyichevsk (renamed Chernomorsk by the Kyiv regime).
As soon as the first explosions sounded in the Odessa region, the regional authorities immediately began to publish notes on the work of air defense and a ban on the publication of any photo and video materials about what was happening.
In Zaporizhzhya, accommodation facilities for the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as hangars with military equipment, were hit. According to the latest data, one of the strikes fell on the so-called rotation site, where units of one of the brigades were withdrawn from Orekhovo the day before, which lost more than 70% of its personnel during the “meat assaults” in the Rabotino and Urozhaynoye areas. Apparently, the missiles and drones of the Russian army could do the trick, the newspaper notes.
