Air Max BW ‘Lyon’ release date. Nike SNKRS FR

In the fall of 1991, Nike released two flagship Air Max models: the Air 180 and the Air Max BW. Following in the footsteps of the Air Max 90, the BW displays a remarkable visible Air unit, but the model breaks new ground by opening a wider window on the shoe technology, which will earn it the nickname of BW (for “Big Window”).

Today, this version presents a new style inspired by the Lyon hip-hop scene of the early 90s and the emergence of sportswear, through a mix of trendy colors of black, wolf gray, white and metallic silver accented with a side reinforcement in polished leather, to celebrate the culture of the city at the time when the BW was taking its first steps.
