Air Liquide’s Objections to Hydrogen Infrastructure Design: Ministry’s Powers Questioned

Air Liquide also referred to the international dimension of a hydrogen network and pointed out that the Council of State was considering whether hydrogen infrastructure was not a matter for the regions rather than the national government. The minister may have exceeded her powers.

The company insisted on adjusting the design and at least discussing it. Van der Straeten literally had to slow down, withdrew the consideration of the bill in the House and came up with an adjustment/amendment in mid-April. In this, it already partly met Air Liquide’s objections. The amendment is currently before the Council of State for advice.
