Have you been planning to go to New York soon but were afraid you might have to whip out your checkbook to treat yourself to the trip of your dreams? With airline ticket prices soaring in recent months, the apprehension was understandable. But if you’re from Lyon, you’re in luck. As sighted Actu.fr Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Air France on Tuesday 15 November it launched a promotional campaign for flights at unbeatable prices.
For journeys from Lyon Saint-Exupéry to New York, the lowest prices start at less than 400 euros round-trip. It is therefore possible to afford a trip for 375 euros if scheduled between the months of January and May. The only peculiarity of these discount tickets is that they do not allow direct travel from Lyon to New York. For this price, you have to make a stopover in Paris Charles-de-Gaulle or Amsterdam before reaching the United States.
Tickets at 174 euros under conditions
But other promotional offers have been on sale since Air France, in order to further reduce vacationer budgets. For this, the company proposes to connect the city of Gaul to the airport thanks to the TGV connection before taking the plane. Actu.fr did the simulations and found a first price of 174 euros. However, checked baggage is not included. Also, not all flights are affected; it is therefore necessary to find the most suitable date to travel low cost because the prices can go up to over 1,300 euros. Finally, you’ll need to be patient, with a total walking time of between 10 and 12 hours.
