An air alert has been declared in all regions of Ukraine, except for the westernmost ones. Both the authorities of various regions and the military inform about the threat of a missile attack, reports the Russian service of the BBC.
Ukrainian energy companies announced that due to the threat they are shutting down electricity in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Earlier, emergency shutdowns were reported in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.
Missiles flew over the territory of Ukraine, reports UNIAN with reference to the head of the Nikolaev Regional Military Administration Vitaly Kim. At least two missiles, he said, were flying northwest across the area. Explosions are heard in the Nikolaev region, it is assumed that the air defense is working, TSN reports, referring to monitoring sites.
The governor of Vinnytsia region Sergey Borzov announced the launch of cruise missiles. The mayor of Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported two aerial targets registered near the city. The flight of missiles over the airspace of Ukraine was also confirmed by the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration.
The volunteer service “Monitoring Military Activity” wrote in its “Telegram” that it had noticed Tu-22M3 bombers over the Kursk region (this is contrary to the usual practice when long-range bombers operate from a long distance from Ukraine – often from the Caspian Sea region).

The Kh-22 is an anti-ship missile that lacks accuracy when hitting land targets; such a missile struck a residential building in the Dnieper two weeks ago, killing dozens of civilians. The head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak wrote on his Telegram channel about “the first downed Russian missiles“. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration warned of a threat of an attack on the region.
Explosions were heard in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, Ukrainian media reported.
“Sounds of explosions were reported in Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions. Preliminary, successful work of air defense,” UNIAN writes.
In Odessa, Kryvyi Rih and a number of other cities, all electric transport was stopped.
Overnight Ukraine was attacked by kamikaze drones. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 24 downed Shahed drones.
