“Air Alert Issued in Ukraine Due to Threat of Kinzhal Missile Attacks”

Details: At 11:56 sirens began to sound in Kyiv, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions. A few minutes later, alarms spread throughout the country.

The rapid spread of alarm across the territory of Ukraine testifies to the threat of attacks by Kinzhal missiles.

Later, Air Force spokesman Yuri Ignat said that the alarm had been raised because Russia had taken to the skies a MiG-31K carrying Kinzhal missiles.

Updated: At 12:36 the alarms began to be cancelled. At first, the sirens stopped sounding in Volhynia, Rivne, Poltava and Kharkiv regions. A few minutes later, the alarm was canceled virtually throughout the country.

As of 12:47, the danger remains only in the Chernihiv region.
