Aija Vītoliņa Concert “From Buenos Aires to Paris” at Jaunmoku Palace on January 27

On Saturday, January 27, at 18:00 at the Jaunmoku Palace, the singer Aija Vītoliņa will perform the concert program “From Buenos Aires to Paris”, the representative of the palace, Zane Pētersone, informed the agency LETA.

In the concert program, Aija Vītoliņa and the accompanying ensemble – Romāns Vendiņš (keyboard instruments), Rihards Goba (guitar) and Raitis Aukšmuksts (percussion instruments) will perform compositions by Edita Piaf, Astor Piacolla, Kārļis Lāčas, Imantas Kalniņš and Raimonda Paulus.

Vītoliņa started her solo activity in 2003, establishing a successful cooperation with the producer association Virus Art and director Viktoras Runtulis in the projects “Tango Sin Quinto” and “Viva La Bomba”. Since 2006, he has been participating in the annual “Cabaret” big performances.

As a soloist, she participated in the performance of Bernstein’s “Mass”, in Lucena’s opera – the melodrama “Agra Rusa”, in the play “The Tale of Siegfried Anna Meierovic” and others. In recent years, she has successfully performed concert programs with the group “Tango Sin Quinto”, released an album of mood stories – “Silence”, song disc – “Bear. Aya. Divatā”, as well as participated in the play directed by Laura Groza at the Daile Theater “Keruak ceļs”. In 2023, she worked on the recording of Buiķa’s 10 compositions together with the Latvian Radio big band.

Concert tickets are available for purchase at Jaunmoku Palace and “Biļešu Paradīze” outlets.

Before the concert at 4 p.m., you can take part in a history tour at the Jaunmoku Palace Museum. Accompanied by the lady of the palace, you will be able to view the history and art nouveau interior expositions on the first floor, and it is also possible to visit the interactive Forest Museum’s varied expositions on the nature and animals of Latvia on the second floor.

The concert is carried out by the “Aleja” society for the preservation and promotion of culture of the cultural and historical complex of Jaunmoku Palace in cooperation with SIA “Jaunmoku Palace” and with the financial support of the project competition of the State Culture Fund.
