AIDA is canceling the individual shore excursions again
After AIDA Cruises can no longer increase the hygiene measures on board, but the overall situation in the cruise industry is not really exhilarating and various corona cases have occurred, AIDA decided to change its processes.
Today, on board AIDAprima, Captain Tidow announced in prime time that various processes were being changed. Sometimes the crew rules have been tightened significantly and the shore excursions for the crew have been canceled. Furthermore, the kids club regulations have been changed and all individual shore excursions have been canceled. From now on, only excursions in the bubble are possible. This means that only guided excursions by the shipping company are still possible.
The same was announced at AIDAsol, and these measures were also taken here. I assume that this will be rolled out across the fleet or at least implemented on most of the currently ten AIDA kiss mouthships.
Up to now, AIDA had always called very quickly, very cautious measures and until then it didn’t do that badly. It can also be assumed that the countries, ports and authorities will move in this direction again and that the other shipping companies will have to offer guided shore excursions in the bubble again just as soon.
The cabin letter from AIDAprima shows that it is a fleet-wide decision that the processes be changed.
The atmosphere on board the AIDAprima is still good, there are probably a few parents who complain about the kids club that the care times have been shortened and that they now have to look after their children themselves again.
