AG Sentenced to 3.5 Years in Prison

Previously, AG’s son (15) was sentenced to prison in the case of assaulting Cristalino David Ozora (17). The judge stated that AG was legally proven guilty and involved in the abuse committed by Mario Dandy Satriyo (20) against David.

“The trial stated that the accused child AG had been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a crime,” said single judge Sri Wahyuni Batubara when reading out the verdict in a hearing at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday (10/4).

“The prison sentence is 3 years and 6 months in LPKA,” he continued.

AG will serve a period of detention at the Special Child Development Institution (LPKA), which is a technical implementation unit whose position is under and is also responsible to the Director General of Corrections. For information, LPKA is a place for child defendants to serve their criminal terms.

The judge stated that AG was proven to be involved in the premeditated persecution. The judge also stated that there was no reason to justify and forgive AG’s actions.

AG was found guilty of violating Article 355 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
