Promote agriculture and sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship in Cameroon. This is the objective of the training tour for trainers in the use of the Find your business idea (TRIE) and Create your business (CREE) tools. Two programs adapted to the Cameroonian agropastoral sector are underway over one week (from September 18 to 23, 2023).

In the town of Maroua, Far North region, around twenty young agripreneurs (aged between 22 and 33 years old) have benefited from said training since September 18, training in TRIE and CREE entrepreneurship at the Center national zootechnical and veterinary training of Maroua (CNFZV).

This training takes place as part of the coaching of trainers of the Livestock and Fish Farming Value Chain Development Project (PDCVEP), with the support of the International Labor Office (ILO). The latter is one of the conventional partners of the project.

The PDCVEP benefits from total financing of 65 billion FCFA, including 55 billion from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and 10 billion from the Cameroonian State. It covers the entire national territory for an initial duration of almost 5 years ranging from September 2020 to December 2024.

The project aims to contribute in an inclusive manner to improving food and nutritional security and reducing poverty. Specifically, the PDCVEP aims to improve the competitiveness and quality of products from the cattle-meat, pork and fish value chains.
