Los research projects of the National Institute of Forestry, Agricultural and Livestock Research (inifap) continue to work with the 2022 budget, since it is necessary to wait until November 2023 to assign a new budget, explained Marco Antonio Carreón Zúñiga.
The director of the Northwest Regional Research Center (Cirno) highlighted that the continuity of the projects is guaranteed, since there is a cycle agricultural i.e. Autumn-Winter.
He underlined that in addition to the research work carried out to improve wheat, generating new varieties, parallel work is also being done with beans, chickpeas, sesame seeds and safflower.
This year with the Sonora State Board of Agricultural Research and Experimentation (Cakes) is working on projects for the management of water and fertilization and systems to make crop management more efficient water of irrigation, “which allows to reduce many expenses of water“, has indicated.
In addition to the projects carried out for the Cakesthe inifap it also develops others with institutions and companies that request it according to their needs.
