Gunther Levi and Martine Jonckheere are not the only actors who will soon disappear from the VTM soap, Days reported. Ludo Hellinx (66) and Hilde Van Haesendonck (68) – alias Patrick and Jenny – were also thanked for services rendered.

Hilde Van Haesendonck has played the role of Jenny Versteven for seven years and Ludo Hellinx has played Patrick Pauwels since 2012. But now both actors were told that they are no longer counted on. “I was stunned,” Van Haesendonck responds in Dag All.
“And Ludo didn’t see this coming either. I have the feeling that the new writers want to walk their own line, the path of rejuvenation. They have big plans for the new characters that have been added in recent months. But from the director to the make-up artist, everyone thinks I’m going to disappear.”
Ludo Hellinx also does not understand the decision. “How I feel? Bad, of course. I didn’t see this coming and I don’t understand it at all. The explanation I got… Sorry, but that’s one of kiss-my-feet. The screenwriters say that they themselves are sorry, but that they have been ordered from above that a number of characters have to disappear. ThereI’ll just believe that, surely?”

A few weeks ago the first bomb was dropped on the set of ‘Family’. Then it became known that Gunther Levi – or Peter Van den Bossche – was kicked out after 22 years and that Martine Jonckheere (Marie-Rose De Putter) also had to disappear from the soap for the third time.
