Harun Masiku was named a suspect in the alleged bribery case of the DPR PAW on January 9, 2020. The case began with the KPK’s arrest operation (OTT) that ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan, PDIP cadre Saeful Bahri, and a trusted person of Wahyu Agustiani Tio Fridelina.
Harun was then designated by the KPK as a fugitive on February 27, 2020. Until now, Harun Masiku has not been arrested. In fact, three other suspects, namely Saeful Bahri, former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan, and Agustiani Tio Fridelina, have already been convicted.

Saeful was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison and a fine of Rp. 150 million, subsidiary to 4 months in prison. Saeful, who is also a PDIP cadre, was found guilty of giving bribes to Wahyu Setiawan while serving as a KPU commissioner.
The judge believed that Saeful gave bribes gradually and together with Harun Masiku. The first gift of SGD 19 thousand or equivalent to Rp. 200 million was handed over on December 17, 2019. The second gift of SGD 38,350 or equivalent to Rp. 400 million was handed over on December 26, 2019 by Saeful to Agustiani Tio Fridelina.
Then, Wahyu Setiawan was sentenced to 6 years in prison and a fine of IDR 150 million, a subsidiary of 4 months in prison. Meanwhile, Agustiani Tio Fridelina was sentenced to 4 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 150 million, a subsidiary of 4 months in prison.
Wahyu and Tio will read the verdicts on August 24, 2020. Both were found guilty of accepting bribes from Saeful and Harun.
