After all, corona tests for passengers at Brussels Airport: m … (Zaventem)

Zaventem –

There will be a mobile lab at Brussels Airport where people can have themselves tested for Covid-19. For example, passengers returning from a red zone can have themselves tested immediately upon arrival at the airport. Those who travel on a trip can also have a test taken in this lab.

“Public health has been a top priority for Brussels Airport since the start of the corona crisis,” says Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport Company. “That’s why we decided to go a step further and enable Covid-19 testing at the airport itself in a new mobile lab. For example, those returning from a red zone can have themselves tested immediately upon arrival at Brussels Airport. Departing passengers can also have themselves tested there, with a rapid test the results are available within three hours. ”

Early September

The mobile lab will be set up just outside the airport terminal (departure level) and passengers will have the option of having a PCR test taken there. The tests are analyzed on site in the mobile lab, so with a rapid test the results are always available within three hours, with a standard test within an average of nine hours. Arriving passengers from a red zone who have to be tested can do so at the NIHDI rate of 46.81 euros. The standard PCR test costs 67 euros and the quick test 135 euros.

This test facility will be operated by Ecolog in partnership with Van Poucke-Eurofins. Ecolog is active in worldwide logistics and crisis management and Van Poucke-Eurofins specializes in laboratory research. The lab is accredited by Scienscano and will be operational by early September.
