The Kansas City Chiefs have given Britt Reid, 35, the son of head coach Andy Reid, 52, on leave after a traffic accident.
The accident with several vehicles occurred last Thursday. A five year old girl was seriously injured.
Britt Reid, who was employed by the Chiefs as an assistant coach for the defense, did not travel with the team to the Super Bowl. The defending champion lost to the Tamba Bay Buccaneers on Sunday 9:31. According to the Chiefs, the child was still in critical condition on Thursday.
