We have learned of the death of Mr. Michel Cuel-Oller, which occurred at his home on Friday March 25, at the age of 74.
Born in Moyeuvre-Grande on December 23, 1947, he married Marie-Hélène Léonard on October 26, 1974, in Affléville.
From this union were born three children: Arnaud domiciled in Joppécourt, Stéphanie in Longuyon and Laurent in Peltre.
Retired from the steel industry, he was surrounded by the affection of four grandchildren, Lysa, Victoria, Léon and Marcel, and his brother Serge.
Mr. Cuel-Oller had been elected deputy mayor from 1984 to 1989, mayor from 1989 to 2001, then deputy mayor from 2008 to 2014. He had been president of the Clé des Champs d’Affléville, and was also a volunteer at the Sports and Cultural Association of Afléville. He liked to ride a bike and crossword puzzles.
The body of the deceased rests in the Lescanne funeral chamber, in Piennes. A religious ceremony will be celebrated on Monday March 28 at 2:30 p.m. at Les Orchidées room, 6, rue du Point-du-Jour in Piennes, followed by cremation in Thionville.
