Adobe is testing an online version for Photoshop so that it can be used for free by everyone through their official website.
Test Photoshop the online version can be done by accessing the official Adobe website which is newly available in Canada. The free service is billed as Adobe’s way of introducing more users to the Photoshop app while closing some exclusive features to paid subscribers.
“We want to make [Photoshop] more accessible and easier for more people to try and experience this product,” said Maria Yap, VP of digital imaging at Adobe. The Verge.
Adobe first released the web version of Photoshop in October and provided a simplified, usable version of the app for basic photo editing. There is also an update to the editing service on the web but it doesn’t include the full features included in the app.
In the months since, Adobe has made several updates to the service. Previously, one had to share an edit page to the web from the desktop app, but now, any Photoshop customer can log in and start a new edit page directly from the web.
Adobe’s goal with using the free web version of Photoshop is to make the app more accessible and potentially attract users who want to pay for the full version. The same applies to a number of its mobile applications, including Fresco and Express.
The web version of Photoshop is a very important offering as it unlocks one of the company’s most powerful tools up to Chromebooks, which are widely used in schools.
“I want to see Photoshop meet users where they are now. You don’t need a high-end machine to get into Photoshop,” said Yap.
Adobe did not provide detailed information on when the freemium version will be rolled out more widely. Meanwhile, the company continues to update Photoshop for the web with more tools, including enhanced refine edge, curves, doge dan burn toolsas well as the ability to convert Smart Objects.
Adobe also previewed the new AI-powered Neural Filter today that’s coming to Photoshop. The new “photo restoration” filter can take photos that have yellowed and automatically clean up scratches and restore some of their color.
When combined with Adobe’s color filters to add color to a black-and-white photo, the two filters can quickly bring old photos to life, even if the end result looks like a cartoon.

1. Fotor
Fotor is a photo editing and graphic design suite for macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android.
While there is a paid version, the free version gives access to many of the essential photo editing functions needed to make adjustments to images or create some basic graphics.
Fotor also supports RAW image editing, which is essential for anyone who wants to take image editing seriously.
For the free version, Fotor comes with ads, and some features are locked. The free version includes features such as cloning tool, distortion correctionday batch editing. Overall, Fotor can be a good app for simple photo editing.
2. Pixlr X dan Pixlr E
Pixlr X is a simpler photo editing app, while Pixlr E is a more complicated version. They are both a photo app that can manipulate photos and a graphic design suite that offers a full-featured free version.
Like Fotor, Pixlr E and Pixlr X also contain ads. A subscription version is required to unlock a number of additional features.
Surprisingly, Pixlr E is simply amazing for a free photo editing app. Pixlr E offers support layer enough and blending modes different ones. The Pixlr E also has a solid edit history and RAW Image customization options.
The templates that Pixlr provides for social media are a plus when compared to the previously mentioned features.
3. GIMP and RawTherapee
GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) is a photo editing application open source with modern capabilities. However interface in it makes GIMP look like a 1998 app.
GIMP has support layer full-featured, comprehensive brush set for painting, manipulation and retouching advanced basic photos with sliders and masks, and file management features.
GIMP application is not attractive in appearance. But the features it has are equivalent to those provided by Photoshop.
One thing to keep in mind when using GIMP is a RAW processing application like Raw Therappee. It is needed if GIMP users want to enter RAW type files.
RawTherapee is a program open source powerful. The app helps users edit photos in the best possible way. Like GIMP, interface RawTherapee is not going to win him an award.
However, RawTherapee will get the job done for the user, who chooses the function and it doesn’t matter if they have to explore further the tools in it.
