ADO Den Haag takes over attacker Catic from PSV | NOW

ADO The Hague strengthened itself on Wednesday with Amar Catic. The 21-year-old youth international of Bosnia and Herzegovina comes over from PSV on a transfer-free basis and signs for three years.

The attacker born in Tilburg mainly played for Young PSV among the Eindhoven team. He made his debut in the first team in the Europa League qualifying round against Apollon Limassol in August 2018, but a breakthrough failed to materialize.

In The Hague, Catic hopes for more playing time in the Eredivisie. “This feels like the right step for me. I think ADO Den Haag is the perfect place to be of value on the field, but at the same time to develop myself further”, he says on the website of his new club.

Martin Jol, head of the technical heart of ADO, hopes that the speed of Catic will make the team more energetic. “Speed is the greatest strength of Amar. That expands the possibilities for our new head coach Aleksandar Rankovic, who also wants to have dynamism and agility in the front line.”

ADO, which finished seventeenth last season, previously joined Kees de Boer (Swansea City), Emilio Estevez Tsai (York9 FC), Peet Bijen (FC Twente) and Samy Bourard (FC Eindhoven).
